Almost since man sinned in the Garden of Eden people have always wanted to get along. But due to mans corrupt, sinful nature it fails miserably. Every time this idea, socialism, has been put into play the result is famine, sadness, grief, heartache, and death. Yes, its sad and true. This paper is written so that one can experience and understand the sufferings of these people. And maybe one will realize how this is really a false philosophy.

This paper focuses on one specific form of socialism, called communism. What exactly is Communism? Communism is a way of life for some, but actually it is a form of government. In a Communist government there is no private property. The government controls all aspects of life, for instance the news, radio, transportation, where and when you work, how much you get paid, and almost all other things. Communism says dont vote for what you want, but rather kill for it.

There is very famous person who didnt start Communism, but he is known really the founder, in many ways, of modern Communism. His name is Karl Marx. Born in 1818, Marx, even as a young adult, rejected God, and thought of him as a cruel tyrant. He believed history was shaped between a class struggle between the rich and the poor. Marx thought of money being the greatest motivating factors. He wanted government control of EVERYTHING and believed capitalism was our problem. He said that religion is the opiate of the people, and thought the only thing that mattered was the here and now.

In 1848, Karl Marx published a pamphlet, called The Communist Manifesto. It laid out a program for a bloody Communist revolution and told them what the people should do. It said to overthrow your government and put in a Communist one instead. It called to do the following the abolition of private property, the redistribution of wealth, a centralized federal bank, total government control, the redistribution of the population, and mandatory state sponsored education.

Then in 1867, Marx wrote Das Kapital. This offered a theoretical foundation for Communist ideas. Whereas the Communist Manifesto told them how to do it this told them why. Karl Marx applied some of Charles Darwins ideas with his political ones to give them a more scientific background.

What many people fail to realize is that Communism thrives in many other foreign countries. China is one of Asias most powerful countries, and is now Communist. Since around the sixteen hundreds China has been ruled by emperors, but in 111 the emperor was overthrown. Then in 11, Mao Tse-Tung, a Chinese Communist, helped found the Chinese Communist party. But in 14-5, Mao led his Communist forces against the Nationalists, led by Chaing Kai-Shek. When Chaings troops were advancing to Mao, Mao retreated. Only twenty thousand of the hundred thousand made the retreat, called the Long March. Finally in 14, Mao Tse-Tung became the leader of the newly named Peoples Republic of China. In 166, Mao launched the beginning of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Mao sent groups of young people, called the Red Guards, out on the street, and beat up even killed people who criticized Mao. He tried to rid China of all western influences. Nobody felt safe. For about ten years terror and violence ruled China. Mao Tse-Tung died in 176, and his wife, Jiang Qing, wanted to continue the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Except the Communist partys secretary general, Deng Xiaopino, put her on public trail and was put in jail.

China, since being under Communist control, has changed the peoples lives dramatically. China is the largest populated country having ¼ of the worlds population. Therefore 1.5 million people are under the lies of Communism. The Chinese used to have many children for various jobs, but new laws tell you that you could have only one child. The Chinese are not as advanced as the rest of the world due to Communism. Sixty percent of the Chinese population works in farming. Not even one percent work on farms in the U.S.A. Children have school from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The government in China tells every where to work, and tell what doctor you go to. The Chinese work so hard they have almost no time for leisure activities. In China the government tells you what to watch, read, and listen to. They gave money from the rich to the poor, and gave land from people with more land to the people with less. Also, children were encouraged to denounce their parents if they failed to support the Communists. Since the Communist took over many people have been poorer; many were not happy, and work declined as well as moral and hope. The Chinese are in a giant mess.
